F W McDowall Ltd has been operating since 1953 and continues to operate today as a family owned and operated business. The owners of the company apply a "hands on" approach to the every day running of their business.

This allows an almost immediate reaction to any operational or management issues that arise on a day to day basis, giving the company stability in an ever changing environment.

F W McDowall Ltd is comprised of two operating companies; McDowall Transport Ltd, a full service rural transport company which also provides agricultural contracting services, excavating, for specialist excavation needs including dairy lane construction and maintenance and expert effluent pond installation . McDowall Transport Ashburton supply all your requirements for Maize planting and harvesting together with shingle cartage. McDowall Freight Ltd, a nationwide express freight operator can assist with all nationwide express freight deliveries within NZ.
